About us

Our research group is based within the Health and Rehabilitation Research Institute and School of Clinical Sciences at Auckland University of Technology. This Institute adopts a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to further knowledge on the health and rehabilitation of people with injury and/or illness. Within this scope, our group have targeted pain and musculoskeletal conditions.

Aims and Purpose

Our goals are:

  • Conduct new and innovative research in the field of health and rehabilitation
  • Encourage students to actively participate in research activities within the university.
  • Ensure our work has practical applications. While our research may be conducted in laboratories or hospitals, it can be applied to various treatment settings.
  • Share our research with people who are affected by health conditions, healthcare providers, and other researchers.
  • Take a comprehensive approach that considers the physical, social, psychological, and cultural aspects of health.
  • Focus our research on benefiting patients and addressing their specific needs.
